Fourth of July Parade Hat and Bag

It's said that everyone loves a parade, so parade accessories must make it even more fun! This mini-tote is just the right size to gather thrown candy, while the bucket hat will keep the sun off sensitive little noggins.

Materials List

  • Bucket Hat
  • Mini Tote
  • Red, White, Blue Craft Felt—1 Sheet each
  • Star Sequins (or other small shiny stars)
  • Small scrap pieces of Ribbon
  • FabriTac Glue (fabric glue)

Instructions

  1. Cut out various sizes of stars out of felt (can use the AccuCut Dies (S4,S8)
  2. Cut out red felt rectangle and white felt stripes.
  3. Glue felt stars onto hat in pattern of your choice.
  4. Glue stripes and shiny stars onto red rectangle piece for flag and then glue flag onto front of bag. Glue down short ribbon strips and add shiny stars to the top to create two “sparklers” for each side of flag.
  5. Enjoy the parade!
