Unity Candle

Because having a Unity Candle in a wedding means more than just lighting a candle together, consider making your own Unity Candle as a unique representative of you and your spouse-to-be.

Materials List

  • White craft felt
  • Bag of silk rose petals
  • Fabri-Tac glue
  • Pillar candle
  • Ribbon of choice
  • Glitter dots or embellishments of choice
  • Straight pins

  1. Cut felt piece in 9” diameter circle
  2. Starting at outer edge of felt and working inward, glue down each petal, overlapping each slightly and working around circle. Keep center of felt free of petals so your candle can sit flat.
  3. Decorate pillar candle with ribbon stripes (tacked down into candle with straight pins where ribbon ends come together) and by gluing on glitter dots or any other embellishment that you select.
  4. Keep top third of candle free from ribbon and added embellishments so they stay away from the open flame of candle.
