Samples shown are for inspiration. You can use this technique to cover your canvas and then use your canvas as a background for “Scrapbooking on the Wall” or grouping pieces together and adding embellishments of AccuCut shapes, ribbons, buttons-anything you wish to use!
- Place canvas on table on top of sheet of newspaper to protect your table surface.
- Pour a pool of Mod Podge or Gesso medium in center of canvas. Take a fork and start to spread the medium over surface of canvas. Stop within 1” of edges.
- Take color choice(s) of acrylic paint and randomly drip down paint on top of medium. Take your fork and swirl it through the paint to create a marble- like pattern. Also continue to spread mixture to canvas edges at this point. Be careful not to over mix the colors while swirling them across canvas.
- Last step is to add more paint drops randomly around and lightly swirl these to give you a contrast design with darker color touches.
- Leave to dry for 24 hours on a level surface. When dry, you can paint edges of canvas with acrylic paint color of choice, if desired.
