Creative Habitat

1. With small brush and paint color of choice, write your title on front of mug. (Sample uses “Mom’s Garden)
2. Paint around the mug surface each child’s name (and your pet’s name too).
3. Next to each name, paint on a flower design of choice.
4. To add paint dots around your finished design, dip handle tip of brush in paint and then dot onto mug surface, dipping into paint after every dot..
5. Let paint dry and follow package directions to heat set the paint.
6. For plate, pour small amount of paint on piece of foil wrap and have child pat their hand down into paint. Paint will spread out and palm of hand will be covered. Then press palm of hand directly down onto plate and lift it straight off to leave handprint. Paint will wash off hand with soap and water when still wet. Paint on special message and add a heart design to finish your special keepsake gift.

Extra Notes

Americana Gloss Paints can be heat set so they can be dishwasher safe. They are not to come in direct contact with food. Plate in sample is for decorative use only. Please read all directions on paint package for restrictions. Painting on outside of mug is safe.

You can also use Rainbow Markers and stickers to decorate your mug and plate. Your mug and plate will be used for decorative purpose with these methods. The mug could be for holding pencils, brushes or a potted plant.
